Before we dive into the day-by-day, let's take a moment to share our thought process behind choosing this year's prompts.

Our list features everything from classic horror tropes, to instruments for accessing the beyond. Each prompt is designed to ignite your creativity, challenge your skill set, and—most importantly—immerse you in the spooky spirit of Halloween.

How We Chose the Prompts

The list was carefully curated, drawing inspiration from a variety of sources—film, folklore, personal fears, and even current events.

For instance, "Rat" plays on fears of infestation and disease which is supplemented by prompts such as "outbreak" and "infected." Prompts like "afterlife" and "spirit box" reference ghosts and the great beyond.

Our aim was to cover the entire spectrum of horror and eeriness, making your October drawing experience as enriching as possible. Last year's prompts included many abstract concepts, but this year is much more grounded with the option to take them as far as your imagination can carry you.
