Amazing brushes and texture page…these are my go to brushes

For years I’ve been trying to find a brush that emulates the style of one of my favorite artists.

I tried modifying brushes but it never quite hit that aesthetic I wanted.

UNTIL I found the Crackle Dry Brush that is in this wonderful pack.

That alone, to me, was worth buying the pack.

Along the way I found several brushes that were included that match the inking style I use (Toothy Ink, Crunchy Nib, Totally Dry.

The pages and ink splashes are the cherry on top.

I highly recommend this to any artists and designers who love comics that were printed on newspaper pages.

I am developing an anthology comic that is heavily inspired by EC & Warren comics such as "Tales from the Crypt", "The Haunt of Fear", "Eerie", "Vampirella", etc, and the Retro Supply brushes provide the perfect way to emulate those older comic art styles. The ColorLab brushes especially perfectly copy the old comic style of coloring, even Marvel did their coloring the exact same way!

I have worked as graphic artist in T-shirt screen printing for over 20 years. Affordable digital drawing tablets and the iPad have been a total game changer for me. Back in the early days I struggled trying to draw with a mouse or Wacom tablets that didn’t have screens. Drawing tablets have made my job so much easier and fun using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. For years I used the standard Adobe brushes but they don’t look natural. I’m so happy to have found Retro Supply Company. I now have a wonderful variety of natural, analog looking brushes to use in Photoshop and Illustrator. I also use the Photoshop brushes in Adobe Fresco on my iPad. We use a lot of halftone dots for shading in screen printing. I wish I had the Duplitone halftone brushes years ago. The Inferno Ink pack is awesome 👍

This is my favorite brush set by far! I like it so much I bought it for Procreate too.
